Jeff Deitz – Managing Director
Jeff Deitz has been active in the environmental consulting industry since 1999. After completing a Diploma in Renewable Resource Management – Environmental Sciences from Lethbridge College, Jeff spent several years field consulting throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Following his field consulting experience, Jeff joined an upstream oil and gas environmental service provider and moved into a management role in 2004. Jeff greatly values his experiences gained while working in-house with multiple oil sand exploration clients. This exposure provided Jeff with an immense respect for the planning processes required to execute large scale resource extraction projects. Jeff has extensive project management and technical sales experience and has been involved in a diverse array of projects ranging from Drilling Waste Management, Oil Sands Project Management, Water Management and Spill Response.
Jeff places the highest level of priority on reliability, proactive management and effective communication, to ensure that each of our clients receive an unparalleled level of service. His focus at Bowron is on Business Development in addition to the management of our Oil Sands Environmental Services Division.
Neal Emerson, B.Sc. – Managing Director
Neal Emerson has been active in the environmental consulting industry since 2005. After completing a Bachelor of Science from the University of Northern British Columbia, Neal joined an upstream oil and gas environmental service provider and spent several years field consulting out of Grande Prairie and Northeastern British Columbia before moving into a management role in Calgary. Neal has an extensive management and technical background and has been involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from Drilling Waste and Water Management to Spill Response and Site Remediation.
Neal places the highest level of priority on operational excellence and proactive management to ensure that each of our clients receive an unmatched level of service. His current focus at Bowron is on Corporate Development and the management and expansion of our Environmental Services Division.
Kevin Atter, P. Geol. – General Manager
Site Closure and Liability Management Division
Kevin Atter is a professional geoscientist, registered in Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia, with 13 years of environmental consulting experience. He possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Calgary, and began his career at the field level where he gained practical experience associated with environmental assessments and remediation projects applicable to a variety of upstream, downstream and commercial properties. Kevin’s responsibility progressed to include field coordination associated with large scale assessments, remediation projects and due diligence programs before he moved into a fulltime project management role. In 2007, Kevin joined a multinational oil and gas corporation where he was responsible for the development and implementation of a large scale reclamation program. Over 4 years the program grew to include 10 consulting companies working on over 1000 active reclamation sites. Through this experience, Kevin has gained a clear understanding of client expectations, the consultant’s role, and the importance of establishing reliable solutions that are required in order to effectively realize site closures.
Prior to joining Bowron, Kevin held a management position with a well established consulting company offering environmental services to a variety of industries. He was responsible for the management of a diverse team of professionals that were associated with active projects located throughout Western Canada. This management included the safe execution of field work, maintenance of client relations and establishment of high quality products that were delivered on time and within budget.
Kevin joins Bowron as the General Manager of the Site Closure and Liability Management Division.
